A Plea to Decision Makers (by Sara R. Iglesias)

Dear Senators, Representatives, White House Administration, etc.:

No matter what the media reports, the majority of the people of this country DO NOT want war. We are organizing at a grass roots level and the numbers are astounding. We know the real reasons behind the push for war. We will NOT stand for it and the feeble attempts to keep us uninformed are wayning.

To those of you who oppose the war and have spoken out about it, we thank you and want you to know that we vehimently support you and applaud your courage to speak out.

To all the others who have doubts, we implore you to look deep inside your heart and ask yourselves if you support the MURDER of thousands of innocent civilians in Iraq while our nation's resources are irresponsibly spent on DESTRUCTION as the people of this country (and throughout the world) sink deeper into the abyss of poverty, desperately in need of jobs, health care and education. Take heed and do what you KNOW in your hearts is right. We, the people, will support you in your stand.

To those of you who support the war, take a minute to rationally look at the facts. Separate your emotions and personal feelings for one moment and be objective. Then ask who will gain from another war. While most of you are aligned with or a part of those who will gain (the military industrial complex, oil companies, and other multinationals), ask yourselves as human beings, if you want to be a part of murdering thousands of people and setting the world on a disaster course. The karmic debt you and our nation will incur as a result of your choice will be enormous.

For no matter what happens, the people of this country (and the world) are coming together and have had ENOUGH of the lies and manipulation of the government and big business in the arrogant pursuit of profit and power.
